- Turnaround
- 72 hours — fast turnaround is a priority, barring unforeseen issues, which are rare.
- Return shipping
- Your instrument is returned on Rematek's FedEx account, with the shipping cost added to your invoice — unless you'd prefer it returned via your own FedEx account or shipping method.
Cleaning & calibration ships with a Certification of Quality.
A certified cleaning and calibration comes back with a signed Certification of Quality — your formal report and proof of service. It declares the unit meets or exceeds its original design and test parameters, and documents the standards and functional checks behind that result. A repair-only job is different: if you simply need the instrument diagnosed and running again, that's exactly what we do — no calibration certificate is issued.
- Calibration traceability
- NIST-traceable standards
- Electromagnetic compatibility
- EMC Directive 89/336/EEC
- Electrical safety
- Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC
All measuring instruments are calibrated by industrially accepted methods with accuracies traceable to NIST. Hard copies of calibration and test records are kept perpetually and are available on request.
What's tested and documented
- Cool block temperature
- Reagent block temperature
- Computer communication
- Mode differentiation
- Photomultiplier light response
- Read and set functions
- Full functionality

Microtox service & repair questions
- Who repairs and services Microtox water analyzers?
- Rematek, LLC repairs, services, and calibrates the full Microtox line — the Microtox Model 500, Microtox LX, and Microtox FX — along with Deltatox I & II analyzers and RPA I & II fluorimeters. Rematek is an authorized Modern Water service representative with over 30 years on the Microtox platform, working on these instruments directly from Fallbrook, California.
- What's the difference between repair and cleaning & calibration?
- Repair is component-level diagnosis and fault correction billed hourly. Cleaning & calibration is a flat-rate service that restores measurement accuracy and includes a signed Certification of Quality, a calibration report, and ISO documentation. Repair-only jobs do not include a certificate; cleaning & calibration does.
- Can you still service older or discontinued Microtox analyzers?
- Yes. Rematek services in- and out-of-warranty units across the Microtox line, including legacy instruments and models the original factory channel has discontinued for cleaning and calibration. A large global installed base of Microtox analyzers still needs a certified service path, and Rematek provides it.
- How fast is turnaround on a Microtox repair?
- Typical turnaround is about 72 hours once your instrument is on the bench. Fast turnaround is a priority, barring unforeseen issues, which are rare. Instruments are returned on Rematek's FedEx account with shipping added to your invoice, or via your own carrier if you prefer.
- How do I request service for my Microtox analyzer?
- Contact Rematek with your instrument model and the symptoms you're seeing. Rematek assesses the fault and the work required, then sends a formal quote before any service begins.
